We are Trevor and Gemma Dobson. We moved to Bankwood in 2014. Trevor is a professional sheep shearer and livestock scanner who studied agriculture at Newton Rigg college, whilst Gemma is a livestock vet.
Bankwood is a traditional upland farm located near Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria. Our philosophy is to allow our animals to thrive on a natural diet, which has two benefits – the quality of our meat and the maintenance of the natural environment.
The farm provides a safe haven for wildlife such as the red squirrel, curlews and lapwings.
